In 2000, Bridgette and Christina wrote and performed in Femme – an entertaining, roller-coaster ride of a show, produced on a zero budget and presented upstairs at Bar Open for the Melbourne Fringe Festival. It was a success.
Audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the show made a profit – an almost unheard-of outcome for a Fringe show. At the request of Diabetes Australia, Bridgette and Christina performed highlights of the show in the Supper Room of the Melbourne Town Hall for the National Youth Conference of Diabetes Australia.
The girls were then invited to perform their show as a fundraiser for the Anti-Cancer Council of Victoria, and then again invited by Heidelberg Theatre Company to perform Femme as part of the Banyule Festival in early 2001.
